Match Report

A much changed Spalding side started slowly against a young and skilful Louth team in the autumn sunshine. Two early goals, including a well struck short corner, put the home team 2-0 up after ten minutes but Spalding started to get into the game. Both Deane Baker and Andy barlow had good efforts saved by the home keeper as Spalding had a period of sustained pressure. Louth dveloped their game well  through the midfield and only an excellent goalline save from Lee haunch denied them a third.

Early in the second half, a clearance from the back found Andy Barlow free on the left and from his pass, Alex Highams slotted home neatly from the top of the circle for his firts Club goal. Man of the match George Tansley fought hard throughout and denied Louth much joy down the left. However legstired in the heat and Louth took advatage to run in three more goals befoore the final whistle
